EMDR Therapy for Trauma in Georgia

I use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) along with trauma-informed approaches like DBT to help you process trauma at its root—not just manage symptoms.

EMDR helps your brain reprocess painful experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming, reactive, or defining.

Through this work, you can:

  • Feel less emotionally reactive or triggered

  • Develop a more stable and grounded sense of self

  • Build healthier boundaries

  • Experience more secure and fulfilling relationships

As a trauma therapist and Certified EMDR Therapist, I help you process these experiences so you can feel more grounded, clear, and secure in how you relate to yourself and others.

What is Relational Trauma?

Relational trauma occurs when important relationships—especially early caregiving relationships—are emotionally unsafe, inconsistent, or invalidating.

This can include:

  • Emotional neglect or lack of attunement

  • Chronic invalidation or dismissal of your feelings

  • Unpredictable or inconsistent caregiving

  • Feeling responsible for others’ emotional states

  • Growing up without a stable sense of safety or support

These experiences don’t just stay in the past—they shape your nervous system, your identity, and your relationships today.

Trauma Therapy for a Range of Experiences

While I specialize in relational trauma, I also work with:

  • Relational trauma & attachment wounds

  • Religious trauma

  • Single-incident or event-based trauma

  • PTSD and complex trauma

  • Vicarious trauma in first responders and helping professionals

  • Emotional neglect & chronic invalidation

This allows us to address both the root relational patterns and any additional traumatic experiences that may be impacting you.

Meet Your Therapist

I provide compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for adults across Georgia who are ready to move beyond survival mode. My approach combines EMDR therapy, DBT skills, and nervous system regulation to help clients process trauma, develop resilience, and regain a sense of control over their lives.

I am especially passionate about supporting individuals who carry the weight of difficult experiences, including first responders and professionals who spend their lives helping others.

You might be a good fit for this work if:

  • You grew up feeling unseen, misunderstood, or emotionally unsupported

  • You’re high-functioning but struggle internally

  • Relationships feel intense, confusing, or draining

  • You tend to overgive, people-please, or lose yourself in others

  • You’re aware of patterns but can’t seem to change them

You don’t need to have a specific diagnosis to benefit from trauma therapy. If these patterns resonate, this work can help.
